VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2014 MUD Volleyball Tournament benefitting the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati and Columbus!

Without the help from hundreds of volunteers, MUD would not be possible.

Pre-Event: July 14 – July 25

Court Set-Up at All A Cart Manufacturing, Inc.

Help EFGCC Staff and other volunteers prepare the courts for the Tournament. This will include picking up rocks, putting up the nets, signs, etc. Two Shifts a Day. (7:30 to 11:30 a.m. & 3 to 7 p.m.)

*Volunteers will receive a 2013 MUD t-shirt and lunch or dinner.

MUD Promotions

Do you like to network, hang out with friends, be active in various activities and have a lot of friends? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you to do what comes naturally while helping a great cause at the same time. As part of the MUD Promotions Team you will help raise awareness of MUD and recruit

participants and volunteers!

ALL EVENT DAY VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT, FOOD & DRINKS THROUGHOUT THE DAY! WE HOPE YOU CHOOSE TO JOIN IN THE FUN!

MUD Referees

** NEED 40 REFS 1pm-6pm

Job Responsibilities

To Referee the MUD Volleyball Pool Play and Tournament Fairly and respectfully.

Review the 2014 MUD Volleyball Tournament Rules of Play prior to the event.

To Enjoy the Tournament with more than 2,500 of your closest friends!

 

Event Day: July 26

Event Day Set-Up: 10 people

Set-up last minute booths, signs, and help as needed. (6 a.m. to 9 a.m.)

Parking Attendant: 8 people per shift:

Collect cash from drivers and direct traffic.

First Shift: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Second Shift: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Third Shift: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Team, Referee and Volunteer Check-In: 15 people first shift: 10 people second & 5 people third shift

Greet and check-in teams, referees and volunteers and share with them necessary information.

First Shift: 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Second Shift: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Third Shift: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Concessions: 20 people per shift

Help throughout the event selling concessions, t-shirts, beer, etc. and running water to referees.

First Shift: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Second Shift: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Third Shift: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Runners, Pool-Play & Bracketing Support: 10 people per shift

Help throughout the event running scores from the courts to the referee tent.

First Shift: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Second Shift: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Third Shift: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Event Clean-Up: 10 people 1st shift, 20 people 2nd shift

Help clean-up All A Cart Manufacturing, take down nets, etc. (1st shift: 11am-3pm; 2nd shift: 3pm 7pm)
